STUDENT SHUTTLE DESIGN

Before the design exercise begins, each student acquires an education in basic design and construction principles. Unique to our program, we discuss those aspects that the Commander(Rick Husband) and Payload Commander(Mike Anderson) of the SHUTTLE COLUMBIA considered MISSION CRITICAL. We begin with one of COMMANDER RICK HUSBAND'S favorite passages from SCRIPTURE, Proverbs 3:5-6.

Every STUDENT CARGO BAY MODULE has the unique signature design of its' builder.
SES teachs the designer to use Google Sketchup to create their own unique interior design. As soon as the exterior shell is complete, which takes about
seven days, the students spend the next eight days putting the finishing touches on their module. At this point, their module is ready for transport to their selected site where they continue modifying it for the next two to four years while they pursue their post secondary education. As green building and alternative energy and communication technologies continue to develop, the students can incorporate them into their CARGO BAY MODULE.

Every participant in the program is networked with each other to share their experiences and innovations. SES anticipates that these shared experiences just like those of the International Space Station astronauts creates an atmosphere of understanding and cooperation.

Competition and cooperation (teamwork) are essential features of our everyday experience. Finding new ways to do things and sharing the results enables us to continue our quest for understanding this vast and marvelous universe that GOD has created. We believe that one day, we will meet our Creator face to face and we hope that HE can say to each of us "well done my good and faithful servant".

THIS IS OUR GOAL AND OBJECTIVE!
